I got to catch up with my old friend Lindsey Stafford a while back to second shoot another even older friends wedding at the Saddle Rock Ranch in Malibu. AMAZING venue! It was clearly going to be even more amazing when I heard that Sitting In A Tree Events was going to be involved to style and coordinate things.

Happy to say that Style Me Pretty picked this one up!

I just photographed Tracee and Ryan’s gorgeous wedding at The Lodge at Torrey Pines last weekend. It’s always a pleasure to work right in your own backyard with your favorite vendors. We had a great day and evening with all your family and friends and were lucky enough to have escaped the storm that hit this weekend.

I can’t say enough about Mr. Andy Demo. I’ve known him since we were youngsters and our parents went to high school together. He’s as solid as a rock in stature as well as character. Love you Andrew and you too Lins. You both know how to have a great time while always keeping it sarcastic. Thank you again for allowing me to capture your day! It was almost like a high school reunion mixed with a wedding……..without the awkwardness and more of the party part.

I photographed Kristy and Clint’s wedding quite a few months ago and have been holding off on blogging it until it was released in print last week. I loved this wedding! It was a really elegant and enjoyable day. Kristy and Clint have become good friends over the past year since I started doing photo work for their company Lounge Appeal. They’re both the kind of people that can make anything enjoyable and light hearted including a 12 hour photo shoot So clearly a wedding day celebration with the two of them was nothing short of amazing. It didn’t hurt that Kristy looked stunning in her L.V shoes and 17 ft. train.

I photographed this wedding a few months ago and have been wanting to blog it ever since. I love this venue for its charm and all of the spectacular views. Holland and Andrew kept it very simple and full of charm, as I think they most likely do with every facet of their lives. It was a pleasure being a part of your day guys, you have a serious talent for being calm and enjoying the people around you.

And please tell me someone took notice of Hollands shoes!! She made them herself because she’s awesome.

Goodbye Connecticut

I’m back home in editing mode, but have to say that I have a new love for the East Coast. Connecticut and all the little towns Bert and I drove through to get to Niantic were incredible. It’s like driving through the back lot at Warner Brothers when it’s set for 1795. But there are all 4 walls and people residing behind them.

Thank you so much to Matt and Danica for flying us across the U.S for your wedding. I had such a great weekend with you guys. Your friends and families were all a great big group sleeve wearing love and good times. Oh ya, you two are pretty amazing as well Sneak peak of wedding picks to follow shortly

I’m at McDonalds somewhere between Downtown Boston, New England, and or Connecticut………..I think. I dunno but it’s really beautiful. So excited for this weekend. I’m traveling with my long time friend Bert Nunn to shoot a wedding on the beach in Niantic, Connecticut. Can’t wait to get there!

Mike and Jen’s Wedding took us all over L.A. We went from their hotel in Hollywood, to the House of Blues for their first look, to China Town, to the downtown train station, and finally to The Marvimon House for the ceremony and reception which was awesome! So much fun to do this many different looks in one day. Thank you guys for having us!

Katie & Matt / Laguna Beach Backyard Wedding

I don’t know exactly what to say……….Katie, after knowing you since we were basically kids on the brink of young adult hood it was pretty darn amazing to watch you gracefully plan the most simplistic, beautiful, heart felt wedding I’ve ever been to. You have grown up to become an amazing person. People of the internet let me just give you a quick peek into the background facts here. When Katie and I were in high school my parents nick named her “The Boss”. Simply because this is not a young lady who lets anything slide. No detail was to be missed and no stone unturned in all aspects of her life as well as yours if you were part of her circle of friends. I just so happened to be one of Katie’s “projects” of sorts. I like to think it was because she was so fond of our friendship that she had to look out for my best interests and by that I mean she would try to dress me appropriately, teach me how to talk to the opposite sex, think in a way that may win the opposite over eventually, and on and on. The reality more likely is that I think she realized early on I was pretty hopeless. That never stopped her good intentions though, and we absolutely had a great time laughing about it all.

Throughout the years you’ve always remained a very true friend to me even when I didn’t deserve it. I go months and months without calling to check in on you and you never forget to call me to say hello and check up. So thank you for that. It’s clearly your drive and passion for all things life that have lead you to where you are, and I’m absolutely certain that Matt is the magnetic field keeping you orbiting in a balance of life that has made you the happiest I’ve ever seen you. So I guess what I’m saying is all of my love to the both of you, I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding day for you. Thank you so much for having Taryn and I there to share it
