Things that are happening – I’ve opened and started working in a new studio here in Encinitas with my friends Ryan Maher and Brent Lievesay that will soon turn out art shows and random craziness of all sorts.  I’m re-branding, changing my studio name and logo, making a new blog, a new website, and marketing collateral.  I’ve been to L.A, S.F, Carmel, Las Vegas and beyond.  Been shooting engagements, people, houses, boats, meeting with my new brides for this coming season, talking to people about stuff and things all the time, oh ya and in the meantime when I should be sleeping I’m editing editing editing and editing photos.  A little wild and crazy?  Yes, but I’m trying to keep in mind that this is the direction I want to be going in and at some point when all the development settles it’s going to be exciting.

Looks like you just told Chris he can't have any

My closest friend on the planet and his lovely wife drank the punch about 9 months ago and I got to pay a visit in June to admire the perfectly round bundle and take a few photos.  As you can see Katie didn’t gain a pound and looked amazing all the way through.  Shaun on the other hand looked like he was ready to pass out!!  Ha ha, just kidding Shauny.  Congratulations on a healthy happy baby girl!  Little Maddie was born on July 1st, 2011 and I can’t wait to get a look at her.

Thank you so much to Matt and Danica for flying us across the U.S for your wedding.  I had such a great weekend with you guys.  Your friends and families were all a great big group sleeve wearing love and good times.  Oh ya, you two are pretty amazing as well   Sneak peak of wedding picks to follow shortly

Now it’s phone calls, emails, retouching, more emails, facebook, text messages, phone conference, eat at my desk, more retouching, blog, and the next thing you know a week has gone by.  Not that I’m complaining.  I love what I do, but it’s insane how time begins to go in fast forward.  I’m going to Paso Robles this weekend to attend a wedding and I plan on doing a lot of sitting around on the back porch in slow motion.  Thanks for the memory Dad!

So here’s a little insight into what I’ve been up to.  I shot a few portfolio pieces I’ve been wanting to do with a few models and hotels.  I attended a wedding, which was awesome!  I’m planning a golf/lifestyle shoot here in San Diego.  I’ve been back and forth to L.A I can’t even remember how many times over the past 3 weeks, and I got to spend a few days with a few really good friends from Florida.

Oh ya, and I photographed a baby shower for someone, somewhere that I can’t say anything about.  Weird, I know.  Here are a few photos of some of the latest antics.

We got the whole family involved when Katie’s sister Christi helped style all of the dishes as well as cook and found out that she could easily become a food stylist if she decided to quit her day job as an interior designer.  It helps that Christi started collecting every book and magazine Martha Stewart ever produced at the age of 10 and still references them daily for recipes and almost all other aspects of life.  Thank you guys for helping me practice a few food ideas and for the extra calories!

What’s there not to like?  My house smells like a forest, when I come home at night the front of the house looks like a giant candy cane and everywhere you go things are just a bit warmer and inviting.  I woke up this morning and the today show informed me that we were 1 week away from the big day!  I personally can’t wait for the big day, but I do have a bit of anxiety about the day after.  It’s always pretty sad to see all the decorations come down, the music goes back to whatever they’re playing these days and we’re left with the end of winter.  With no glowing lights or smelling tree’s in the living room   So I’m really soaking it up this last week.
