Barry’s Boot Camp Photo Shoot

I’m very excited to present this post today!  I had the opportunity this weekend to team up with good friends of Taryn, and my new friends the talented Rich and Shelby of 927 Photography.  Rich and Shelby photographed Amy’s wedding last year who just so happens to work with Barry’s Boot Camp, which some of you may know as the most ridiculous helpful punishment you can hand your body and others may never have heard of.  Well now you have.  Barry and his friends run bootcamps all up and down the Southern California, so if you’re looking for someone to kick your buns and show you a healthy lifestyle look no further.  The point is that when it came time for the Barry camp to do a commercial photo shoot for their website Rich and Shelby’s name came to the plate and the next thing you know they asked me if I wanted to join in since I’m a tech geek and love to experiment with lighting and commercial style shoots.  Viola after a serious trip to Calumet to get prepared with all the techy stuff one would ever need we were off to L.A to photograph some of the most ridiculously in shape beautifully sculpted men and women walking the earth.  The concept for the shoot was awesome!  In a construction zone, dust everywhere, pipes, drywall, fittings, loose power lines, half cemented walls.  Perfect for an edgy sexy shoot.

I have to give full props and thank you’s to everyone we worked with, it was an amazing day.  The CEO of Barry’s Boot Camp was on hand all day producing the entire shoot with an eye for detail and awesome photographic ideas for angles and backdrops.  Oh and did I mention he’s a super nice guy and hilarious to work with.  The models hands down were incredible.  Amazingly talented at holding poses and working with timing of lighting etc, and all extremely down to earth.  Thank you guys for making this thing look so good!  Our hair and makeup artiste’s were also completely on point, creating fake sweat beads on a whim and keeping hair and skin tones perfect at all times.  All in all I’m still buzzing from this shoot, it was a great experience and I’m looking forward to final outcomes after retouching.  P.S 927 rocks, I’m really excited to keep working with these guys in the future.  We have a secret project coming up together that we can’t wait to reveal very soon….I’ve attached a few sneak peeks here, also keep your eyes peeled on Rich and Shelby’s site for more images to come.

Pop Chebegia - I like the brown tone contast on the model holding the bar-bell, which is matched with the contrasts in the background wall. Very nice. Also, in the first photo, the bronze in the male-model’s skin blends right into the bronze of the background, or vice-versa. Sort of metallic-like. Very good. Pop Chebegia
