Make it a JUICE

This is pretty random but I feel like it’s made my life much better over the past few months so i figured I’d share.  Kim and I were given a juicer as a wedding gift this past October and at first I was thinking “hmm ok sounds like another thing that I’m not sure I’ll ever use”.  Oh but then I had my first juice!  It’s so good and refreshing, and fills your body full of energy for the entire morning.  No kidding, this isn’t a hippy blog post claiming that the natural earth will change your life man.  But I’m telling you I drink coffee less and less the more I juice.  Juice is a new word I use now on a regular basis.  I wake up and say “babe do you want to juice so we can have a cup on the morning walk”?  Ya, I guess I am becoming a hippy possibly.  But if you’re interested in what has changed my mornings and my overall energy levels here’s a few tips.  1. You can get a really good juicer right now at Costco for I think it’s $89 or $99 bucks.  2. The recipe we’ve been using that serves two perfectly is 4 carrots, 2 apples, 2 oranges, and about a date sized chunk of ginger.  That’s our simple recipe.  If you have any out there yourselves I should know about please comment.

Make it a JUICE

Haydee Sentianin - Hi Scott! How are you? Taryn just told me about the weddings you both shoot together which I had no idea about! Anyway, I just posted about it on my blog.

However, I was so excited to see this post!!! Eric and I have the same juicer and it’s flipping awesome! I usually use it as our after dinner “power juice” so Penelope (3 yrs. old) will get her veggie consumption. I add 4-5 carrots, 3 sticks of celery, 2 apples, 1/3 bag of baby spinach, 1/2 a red beet, and about 3-4 leaves of kale. I’ll occasionally add ginger too. Makes enough for 2 adults and 1 child. Wow, this was so fun. Love your site! Hope this (long) comment finds you well:)
